We are delighted to announce that starting over the Easter Weekend we will be introducing two new vintage bus sightseeing tours in Llangollen.
The first tour will be to the summit of The Horseshoe Pass where you will see stunning views of the Clwydian Range as we climb 1,368ft along the A542 to the Ponderosa Cafe - the highest point of The Horseshoe Pass.
As we drive out of Llangollen you will see spectacular views towards the Llantysilio Mountain range and Marilyn Cyrn-y-Brain. We stop at the Ponderosa Cafe giving everyone enough time to take in the views and enjoy some refreshments before the journey back down to Llangollen.
The Horseshoe Pass tours will depart Parade Street in Llangollen daily at 12pm and 2:!5pm and 4:30pm.
The second tour takes us on a scenic drive from Llangollen to one of the most remarkable achievements of the industrial revolution - The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal 126ft over the River Dee.
Built by Thomas Telford and opened in 1805 you can walk across Pontcysyllte, if you dare! The 18-arched stone and cast iron structure is the longest aqueduct in Great Britain and the highest canal aqueduct in the world. We stop here for 30 minutes giving you plenty of time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site before the journey back to Llangollen.
The Aqueduct Tour will depart Parade Street in Llangollen daily at 1:10pm and 3:30pm
